About the Job
Coppice (part of the EP Group) is a market-leading international supplier of aluminium food packaging, renowned for innovation, quality, and service. As we continue our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance our team on this exciting journey.
We currently have an opening for a Finance Administrator to join our Finance and Payroll Team. You will also collaborate closely with the Sales Administration Team to ensure all credit control and finance activities are completed accurately and on time. This is a critical role that serves as a key connection point between internal departments and customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Process invoices and reconcile delivery notes with purchase orders
• Set up and maintain supplier accounts in the purchase ledger
• Support general ledger departmental postings
• Reconcile supplier statements monthly
• Assist in preparing purchase summaries
• Communicate with suppliers to manage payment expectations
• Process business expense claims
• Manage cashbook and petty cash cheques
• Handle BACS payment processing
• Perform ad hoc purchase ledger tasks
• Set up new customer accounts
• Raise sales ledger invoices and allocate payments
• Reconcile customer statements
• Manage communication with customers regarding outstanding payments
• Resolve related finance and credit queries
• Assist with ad hoc credit control responsibilities
Experience & Skills
• Customer contact or customer-facing experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to meet business and departmental needs
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Professional and polite telephone manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Strong administrative skills and numeracy
• Proficient in IT and typing
• Reliable and punctual
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience with sales ledger and Epicor systems
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• AAT Qualification
